seventeen, also known as svt, is a thirteen member boy group managed under pledis entertainment. their name comes from the fact that they consist of thirteen members that are all divided into three different units, on account of their talents, so as to highlight the strengths of different members. not only this, but they are one team, therefore giving you the equation of 13 + 3 + 1. originally, the group was supposed to have seventeen members, though four left for varying reasons.

the group debuted in 2015, with the song ‘adore u’ from their first mini album ’17 carat’. since then, the group has released seven mini albums, three full-length albums, one album repackage, and two special albums, alongside multiple osts, all within the kpop genre. in 2018, the group branched out into the japanese genre with the release of their first japanese mini album ‘we make you’, home to their debut japanese track ‘call call call’.
